On the last Tuesday* of the month I send a note to encapsulate the month. I’ve also included an audio version of this note above. In this season of life, when given the option, I prefer to listen to something. If you’re anything like me, then this is for you!
Here is what we’ll cover this month:
Sheer Disposition Opening Night
Glasstire Top 5
Favorite piece from the show (still available!)
An album I won’t stop listening to
A place I’ve been enjoying
Design inspiration
What’s on for April
Arty things
Sheer Disposition opening. March 20th marked the Opening Reception for my solo show “Sheer Disposition.” I said this during the opening, and I’ll say it again here. As an artist, my work is done alone, but the work isn’t for me, it’s for you, it’s for us. Standing in a room surrounded by the work, and with so many people who shared their stories with me was powerful.
More than anything I hope people feel seen, and known in the work in ways that words cannot always express. Based off the conversations I had that night and continue to have. I think it’s working.
Full show catalog here.
On the same note, Sheer Disposition made Glasstire’s Top 5 of the week! Glasstire is Texas’ leading arts publication, so to be featured in the Top 5 this week is remarkable. I’m honored. I audibly screamed when I found out :)
A favorite piece from the show:
This piece received a lot of love opening night. It’s sister piece (Ideals that rubber band me back like a hummingbird on nectar) has sold, this one is still available.

Shoebox museum of saintly ideals, 24” x 30”, acrylic on unprimed canvas, 2025. Available now through Washington Gallery.
Monthly Delights
The Bon Iver EP. Has been on a constant loop for the past week or two. I’m a regular song-repeater and this EP (full album to come) has been jamming.
Enjoying my backyard. The weather in Texas has been absolutely stunning. Cleaning up the winter from the yard and revitalizing the plants has been a real highlight for me. I love this part of the year!
Round Top, Texas. I spent the day at Round Top last week, which is a massive antique fair that spans 17 miles. Here are a couple of things I found inspiring.

What’s on next for April
I’m still exhaling a bit from the intensity of wrapping everything up for my show. I think that’s why I’ve been enjoying my garden/outdoor space so much. Fresh air is so grounding.
I’ve already begun painting some new pieces, and intentionally creating space for experimenting. Which is a place I’m a little uncomfortable with. I’m telling myself it’s good to try new things, and it’s OK to be bad at something. But it can feel like a waste of time to me.
Lastly, I’m going to spend some time with The Gap and the Gain. Gratitude always centers me and keeps me in the right frame of mind.
Thanks for reading and listening!
*this month’s letter coming on the last Monday of the month instead.
